SKIING

Val Cenis is not purpose built and the pistes follow natural courses, above and below the tree line.
Pistes are not crowded and there is not a problem with lift queues, both factors which contribute to the relaxed and friendly atmosphere on the mountain.
It is a resort for all abilities and because we ski with people to show them appropriate areas, our local knowledge invariably offers clients more than is simply shown on the piste map. (click here for view of pistemap)

More difficult blues and long reds slopes offer intermediates challenging skiing across the mountain. Different abilities
can ski in most parts of the resort, and not be tied to one area. image of surfer For boarders, there is a natural half pipe, a snow park for those wanting to try some jumps, and normally, a boarder-cross track for tandem racing.

On piste, advanced skiers have a variety of more difficult reds and demanding blacks such as Michel Jacot which is basically a 4.5km descent from top to bottom.

There are also tremendous off piste opportunities in large bowls or through trees in the forest.

For those willing to push themselves, MGS SKI is willing to organise randonee trips to nearby peaks where there are no people and untouched snow.

Val Cenis is better known in France than in Britain, but regularly holds FIS races and continues to produce performers for the French team World Cup racers from Val Cenis such as Yves Dimier, Richard Gravier and 2007 World Cup Champion downhiller Pierre- Emmanuel Dalcin confirm the standard of skiing in the resort.
