BY CAR

picture of car Val Cenis is just over 600 miles from Calais and the drive takes about 10 hours maximum. Several people sharing a car is the cheapest method of transport and the drive, whilst quite long, is very easy. All but the last 30 minutes can be on autoroute. MGS SKI offers a detailed recommended route plus information on the best cross channel deals for your departure dates. Please contact our office for details.

BY AIR

picture of plane Flight prices vary according to the week involved and obviously the increasing use of the Internet means there are some great deals around.
Except during the February half-term weeks (Feb10th and 17th) transfers will be available, on Saturdays only, from Lyon Expury (not Lyon St.Etienne) and also from Chambery, from where clients will be picked up and returned by our coach en route to the resort from Lyon and en route from the resort to Lyon, at £45.00 per person return . The transport aims to leave Lyon airport at noon at the latest, so clients must arrive before then.
This is done to avoid people who arrived on early flights having to wait for the arrival of passengers on an afternoon flight, before leaving for the resort.
Return flights should depart no earlier than 10.30 am.The return coach aims to reach the airport by 9.00am, to allow time for check-in.
Transfer time to the resort is about 2hours 30 minutes.
Other alternatives are:
Fly Ryanair to Turin, hiring a car at the airport and driving through the Frejus Tunnel into France.
For those in the Midlands there are cheap flights with Thomsons (see thomsonfly.com) from Coventry to Lyon. They also have cheap flights from Bournemouth to Lyon. Be sure to check the return flight time for these as the Thomson check-in closes 1 hour before departure.
The budget airlines also go in to St Etienne and Grenoble. For a group of 4 or more, car hire from these airports to the resort is worth thinking about.
Journey time by car from St Etienne to Lanslevillard is approximately 3 hours. Time from Grenoble is 2 hours 15 minutes.
Tell us your prospective dates and let us do the leg work; we will find the best price and advise you accordingly. Because of CAA regulations and the security involved in booking by credit cards on-line we do not actually book flights but give you the information and you talk directly to the appropriate supplier.
