Skiing holidays should be ideal for families. Unfortunately at times parents
are concerned about either the physical danger of the mountains, or
whether
their children are being properly looked after.
In these situations, holiday which should be fun and relaxing become
stressful.
`
Val Cenis offers an excellent environment.
Less busy, friendly, and as safe as possible. Runs down ultimately end up
in
one of two villages, where collection is straightforward, making it
difficult
to get seriously lost.
For younger children, up to 6,there are two very good creches.
Petit Loups, which closes for lunch, and Petit Marrons, which is open daily
from 9am to 5pm.(Sunday 1.30 pm to 5pm.)
Children are not just left in the creche; activities include visits to see
farm animals, playing in the snow, sledging, or perhaps swimming.
The ESF and Petit Marrons together offer a programme where mornings are
spent learning to ski, and afternoons based in the creche.
The ESF also have a protected area on the piste front in Lanslevillard,
which has cartoon characters, a moving carpet, and is aimed at being a fun
environment.
Here 3 or 4 year olds are taught the basics of skiing, before, for example,
beginning ski school for children at 5 years old.
There are various options for child care using the creche and/or the
ESF.Please contact us for more details and prices.
Evening babysitters can easily be booked in the resort.
