CHILD CARE
Val Cenis is a beautiful place and many enjoy skiing and relaxing up above Lake Cenis.
For stress free holidays good child care is essential for parents and there are two excellent creches, Les Petit Loups and Les Petit Marrons.
Les Petit Loups is in Lanslevillard and provides day care for children 6months old to 5 years old.
The range of activities varies with the age of the children. The nursery closes for lunch so if you wish to have your child in the nursery all day you will have to collect and return after lunch.
Les Petit Marrons is in Lanslebourg and is easily accessed from Lanslevillard, where your apartment is situated, by car, or the bus which runs between the villages, and to which you have free access on production of your lift pass.
The nursery caters for children 3 months old to 3 years old, and is open all day from 9.00am until 5.30 pm. A snack lunch is provided or you can supply sandwiches etc which will be given to your child at lunchtime.
The ESF (Ecole de Ski Francais) also operates in conjunction with Les Petit Marrons, offering 3 to 6 year olds two and a half hours instruction with the remainder of the day in the creche.
The classes take place outside the nursery so organisation is not a problem.
In addition, in Lanslevillard, the ESF has a protected area called "Jardins des Infants" for 3 to 5 year olds which has a baby button lift, model animals, and moving carpet.
Morning or afternoon sessions are available for youngsters to learn the very basics of skiing. click here for prices

For children of 5 years and above, normal Ski School (ESF) is available, for instruction in skiing or boarding.
